Armenian Ceramic Havdalah Plate
Description
Ceramic
Size: 8.7" / 22 cm
This ceramic plate will add an element of charm and color to your Saturday night table. The Havdalah is a traditional ritual that happens as the Sabbath departs with wine, spices, and a candle. This plate will be a heartwarming addition, as the wine is spilled and the candle drips, and we say goodbye to the Sabbath for one more week.
The words in the center read Hamavdil Ben Kodesh Lechol ("The One who separates between Holy and secular") in Hebrew.
Manufacturing Process:
Each individual item is hand made with ceramic clay. Once complete it is placed in an oven at temp. 1000°C until hardened.
Each piece is then hand painted using metallic and oxidized paint in order to keep its natural color.
Again it is returned to the oven at the same temperature and finished with fine glazing.
